About me and Gail……………
Arrived in New Bern November 16, 1993 from Southern New Jersey. I retired from AT &T after 35+ years and Gail retired from NJ Bell after 25 years. We had vacationed in North Carolina and decided to find a town there to retire since NJ was both expensive and much too busy for us. We traveled down with a list of towns to visit to see if they would fit the bill for our retirement. After visiting one city, we continued South and when we crossed the old bridge into New Bern, we knew that this was where we wanted to be.
Retirement has flown by at an accelerating speed. Traveling, bridge, volunteering and lots of friends has made the past 14+ years fly by. Everyone should find their comfort zone and enjoy life to it’s fullest.
