Hi Friends,
The Have a Chance Walk for Brain Tumor Research yesterday was a tremendous success! Over 2200 walkers participated, & over $1 million was raised! The day couldn’t have been any prettier – a picture perfect, crisp fall day with lots of sunshine & incredible blue skies. It was a bit windy (picture me walking across the Brooklyn Bridge holding my hair to keep it from blowing off into the East River!) but otherwise gorgeous. I got through the 5K walk (I have to admit I eyed the benches a few times, thinking I’d sit down for a few minutes & hook up with my team on the return trip) but I stuck it out & I’m glad I did. Again, I want to thank all of you for donating so generously to make our fundraising effort so successful. My team raised over almost $7000!
